The Office of the Prime Minister conducted a Flag raising ceremony in honour of the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Antigua and Barbuda and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.<\/p>

The Hon. Gaston Browne<\/a>, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Her Excellency Carmen Velasquez de Visbal, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and members of the Diplomatic Corps participated in the ceremony.<\/p>\n

The anniversary celebrations also witnessed PM Browne officially hand over a Land Certificate of two acres of land that the Government of Antigua & Barbuda gifted to the Government of Venezuela to construct an Embassy.<\/p>

During the ceremonial event, PM Browne reiterated that “Venezuela has been a stalwart friend through thick and thin” cataloging a long history of Venezuela’s support for Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>
