STATE MEDIA:<\/strong><\/em> POLICE FOIL ESCAPE BY ACCUSED MAN<\/p>

A man who was being transported from the All Saints Magistrate’s Court jumped from the police vehicle but was quickly recaptured by officers who gave chase.<\/p>\n

The incident happened about 11 Thursday morning in Herberts.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Police are now probing the circumstances which culminated in the attempted escape of the accused man.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

A strong detachment of police officers converged on the scene in the aftermath of the incident.<\/p>\n

This is the second such incident in recent days in which an accused individual has escaped while being transported by law enforcers.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Rickardo Bassawan who has been charged with aggravated robbery, also managed to escape last month while being transported to Her Majesty’s Prison.<\/p>\n

He was recaptured within 24 hours and has since been sentenced for escaping lawful custody.<\/p>
