REAL NEWS:<\/strong><\/em> Concerns are being expressed that private information could have fallen into the wrong hands after the AIDS Secretariat building was broken into last week.<\/p>

REAL News understands that Delcora Williams, the AIDS Programme Manager, reported the matter to the Police after discovering that the Long Street building had been burglarized.<\/p>\n

Reports say the intruder made off with a black HP laptop computer and two flash drives.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/div>\n

Investigations revealed that entry to the building was forced. The perpetrator reportedly pried open a western window to enter and steal the items and apparently exited the same way.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The Police conducted a search of the immediate surroundings for the stolen items, but without success.<\/p>\n

Residents are hoping they do not contain information about clients\u2019 medical status that could be made public.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This offence reportedly occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on May 25 and 6:45 a.m.on May 26.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, the Police are investigating a break-in at a cook shop in the vicinity of the Ottos Comprehensive School.<\/p>

In this instance, as well, the intruder gained access by using force to pry off a piece of plywood on the western side of the building.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

After ransacking the shop and stealing a quantity of snacks, the perpetrator made good his escape through a southern window.<\/p>\n

Officers carried out a search nearby for the stolen goods; however, nothing was found.<\/p>\n

This offence reportedly occurred sometime between 12:30 p.m. on May 25 and 6:55 a.m. on May 26.<\/p>\n
