Dear Solid Waste,<\/p>

This June, on your month long clean up of the island, please consider helping the V. C. Bird International Airport clean up the lands within the perimeter fence, which have not been kept clean now for the past few years.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The forests of wild tamarind are taking over, and old left back mounds of previous clearings are causing rodents and other vermin to increase in what should be an environmentally safe compound.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/div>\n

Over the few past years, the Maintenance Department at the airport has been directed to clean only the visible areas which are seen by the public, and even the area which the rich and famous arrive is often in a mess, where corporate jets blast on high grass could become a fire hazard.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

The heavy machinery seems to be down more often than not, and the staff can no longer take pride in their work and do not seem to be appreciated.<\/p>\n

They need a boost of support, and if Solid Waste can clean the entire airport, the maintenance of the grounds will just have to be kept up as was done in the past by precious management.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

St. John’s is another most important clean-up location as our once beautiful and quaint city is now a vendors jungle, and the inner city of St. John’s smells like a “Shitty.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

St.John’s Development Corporation directors and staff with their Global Ports partners need to direct a tour around St. John’s harbour borders, down High Street, at the bottom of all the inner city streets an see the green gutters which stink of poo poo.<\/p>

 <\/p>\n

SJDC need to humbly request the help of Solid Waste in a joint effort at cleaning up the stink, the rubbish and the awful gutters of St. John’s; Holes on the sidewalks like shown here must be fixed, and the safety of our people and visitors (who will sue) must be considered and acted upon<\/p>
