Officials from the Ministry of Works are ready to complete an audit of Government Vehicles which make up the public sector fleet.<\/p>

The readiness comes following a testing phase for the planned Government vehicle Audit which is scheduled to take place from Monday\u00a030th<\/sup>April, 2018 to Friday 4th<\/sup>\u00a0May,2018 between the hours of\u00a08:30am to 4:00pm\u00a0at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium.<\/p>\n

Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of Works, and Chairman of the Vehicle Use Management Policy Advisory Committee Mr. Clarence Pilgrim, along with Superintendent of Works Mr. Selvin Harley and Deputy Chief of Security Mr. Vernon Dowdy have all ensured that logistics for the audit have been tested.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

There will be a total of 12 audit stations to ensure a speedy and seamless process.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

For the week-long audit, drivers of Government vehicles must present to auditors a valid driver\u2019s license, and an up-to-date vehicle registration card. Actions will be taken if drivers refuse to comply and a vehicle audit tag will not be issued.<\/p>\n

Security officers will be on hand to monitor the process.<\/p>

It is expected that over one thousand Government vehicles\u00a0will be audited which includes Heavy duty vehicles and large utility machinery.<\/p>\n

Meantime,\u00a0Superintendent of Works, Harley will be coordinating the inspection of all heavy duty government vehicles and equipment\u00a0at various Government work sites.<\/p>
