has been forced to dismiss students early due to the lack of pipe-borne water.<\/p>

The Antigua Girls High School (AGHS) followed the Antigua Grammar School, which, on Wednesday morning, sent home students because of the water situation.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Today, April 28, a notice went out to AGHS parents, advising that they could pick up their children, since the school was being closed early.<\/p>\n

A source tells our News Department that classes were cut short sometime after midday, ahead of the usual 1:30 p.m. dismissal.\u00a0 However, it is expected that classes will resume on Friday, April 29, as usual.<\/p>

Meanwhile, reports say the Antigua Grammar School received water on Thursday.<\/p>\n

A Rural North parent tells our News Room that she is fed up with the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) and its water schedule.<\/p>

She says the schedule put out by the Authority on April 27 \u2013 which indicated that her community would receive water from 1 to 6 p.m. \u2013 did not materialize in a timely manner.\u00a0 Up until after 3 p.m., she says, there was no pipe-borne water in the area.<\/p>

Yesterday, Wednesday, the APUA issued a statement admitting that its Water Distribution Schedule has been less than adequate and apologizing to customers.<\/p>\n
