United States educators and repeat guest at Sandals Grande Antigua \u2013 Cameron and Jessica Baker recently donated over a dozen recorders along with student activity workbooks and a teacher\u2019s guidebook with supporting discs.<\/p>

The couple has been vacationing at Sandals since 2007 and has grown to love and appreciate the island as their very own home.<\/p>

Jessica Baker said, \u201cWe currently teach in the Virginia Beach Public Schools and music education is what brought us together and Sandals is what keeps us together. We\u2019ve seen the evolution of the Sandals Foundation and knowing the work that is done under the three important pillars of the Foundation \u2013 Community, Environment and for us Education has just been a huge part of why we love the Sandals Foundation. Being able to come down to Antigua and see there was a need for music instruments, as music educators we could not pass up that opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The couple chose the recorders as their preferred instrument to donate as it is one of the first instruments that they provide in their public school systems. \u201cSo it was just a natural fit.\u201d Jessica added.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe opportunity to spread joy of music in another country and to help provide an opportunity for young students is so near and dear to our hearts. It is incredibly important to us that we can combine the things that we love about what we get to do on a daily basis with an organization that we love for doing so much within the community and specifically in education. It\u2019s just a tremendous opportunity we could not pass up.\u201d Cameron Baker added.<\/p>

Sandals General Manager Matthew Cornall received the donation from the couple on behalf of the foundation.<\/p>\n
