     <\/p>\n

    Further to our March 16th<\/sup> 2022 press release, the Department of Environment (DOE) would like to remind the public of the impending works in the Cashew Hill community and surrounding areas under the Green Climate Fund (GCF) supported Enhanced Direct Access (EDA) Project. This project will provide the following benefits:<\/p>

     <\/p>\n

    1. Reduce flooding within the community<\/li>\n
    2. Reduce the presence of mosquitos<\/li>\n
    3. Provide an aesthetically pleasing look for the community.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

       <\/p>\n

      However, it has come to the attention of the DOE that members of the community have constructed a concreted walkway across the waterway<\/strong>. While the DOE applauds the effort of the community members to improve their community, this bridge will have to be removed to accommodate the works and create the most resilient design possible to protect the community in the long run. Community members can contact the Department of Environment for guidance on how to proceed, or for any additional concerns.<\/p>\n
