Ever since the reported questioning of MP Asot Michael, \u00a0by British crime authorities, his presence in the Cabinet of Antigua-Barbuda, represented a substantial threat, \u00a0to the integrity of Government and Governance in our twin island state.<\/p>\n

Indeed, the reported actions and investigative interests, \u00a0of the British and their European partner(s) placed Michael\u2019s continued participation in executive and parliamentary governance, \u00a0at odds with democratic best practices.<\/p>

Guilt or innocence, his reported interrogation by British crime fighters, removed his executive \u00a0destiny from the hands of the ABLP, \u00a0placing \u00a0it at the disposal of certain international interests.<\/p>

Furthermore, given the tentative \u00a0but unmistakable reform tendencies of PM Gaston Browne, \u00a0I am not surprised that Michael is dropped from the ABLP\u2019s list of candidates for the next general elections.<\/p>\n

In the circumstances, it is reasonable to believe that, Michael could be a very worried man at this time.<\/p>
