Nations, likened to societies, communities and neighbors, are reasonably expected to establish and maintain good relations among themselves. Though human socialization often breathes contempt and often times conflicts, human civilization and international law expects due regard and co-existence within and without their respective borders. \u00a0<\/strong>As it affects; (a) \u2018\u2026Sovereignty; (b) \u2026Territorial integrity; and (c) \u2026National security,<\/strong>\u2019 if only to ensure their protection, few would deny that where these are under threat, armed conflict or military aggression is inevitable.<\/p>\n

PERSPECTIVE<\/strong><\/p>

Except for a monkey climbing up the wrong tree, every world leader knows that any act perceived as inimical to the best interest of his\/her nation, hostilities and military aggression are not only inevitable, but may also result in disproportionate military actions. Moreover, they are likely to consequences of catastrophic proportion. This commentary takes another look at the; (i)<\/strong> \u2018\u2026Russian\/Ukrainian Conflict; (ii) \u2026Mission and Attitude of the United Nations.\u2019<\/strong> Then to a lesser extent, it also looks at; (iii)<\/strong> \u2026The apparent moribund \u2018North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).\u2019 <\/strong>Likened to a goat in any neighbor\u2019s garden, it is there for no other reason, but to destroy its \u2018Crouton.\u2019 Woy! \u2026Woy; Woy!<\/strong> [Burning Flames]. The same can be said of any threat to a nation\u2019s \u2018economic or security interests, its sovereignty and territorial borders.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>

MILITARY WRATH<\/strong><\/p>\n

Firstly, however, this commentary looks at; (a) \u2018\u2026The UN Mission Statement; (b) \u2026Russian President Vladimir Putin; (c) \u2026His Seven Dogs: and (d<\/strong>) \u2026The treacherous behavior of \u2018Ukraine\u2019s \u2018Belarusian\u2019 <\/strong>neighbor, \u2018President Alyaksandr Grigoryevich Lukashenka.\u2019 <\/strong>Consequent upon his \u2018Incursion into Ukraine,<\/strong>\u2019 the \u2018President\u2019<\/strong> has placed world leaders on alert that the \u2018Russian Armed Forces\u2019<\/strong> will be purposefully and strategically deployed. Thus, they shall act decisively and indiscriminately, devastatingly and mercilessly. Supportive of his \u2018Presidential Leadership,\u2019<\/strong> were said to have been a handful of world leaders, not only said to be going along with his \u2018Ruthless Military Behavior,\u2019<\/strong> but also endeavoring to avoid incurrence of his \u2018Military Wrath\u2019 <\/strong>and the ruthless and destructive methodologies being employed in the incursion into \u2018Ukraine\u2019 [February 24, 2022].<\/strong><\/p>

DOGS AND WAR<\/strong><\/p>\n

There may be nothing the \u2018Russian President\u2019<\/strong> has a passion for than \u2018Dogs and War.\u2019 <\/strong>Research has shown that among his domesticated pet friends are two \u2018Poodles\u2019<\/strong> called \u2018Tosya and Rodeo.\u2019<\/strong> As instinctively ferocious as some \u2018Dogs\u2019 <\/strong>are known for, from time immemorial, the canine species have long been regarded as \u2019Man\u2019s Best Friend.\u2019<\/strong> Interestingly, several of these dogs were reportedly gifted to him by other world leaders. Then alongside his destructive and deadly \u2018War Machine\u2019 <\/strong>has been a treacherous \u2018Belarusian\u2019 <\/strong>presidential counterpart, \u2018Alyaksandr Grigoryevich Lukashenka.\u2019 <\/strong>Undoubtedly, he has been among the causes of the \u2018Ukrainians\u2019 <\/strong>fears, woes, miseries and war troubles, being waged by the \u2018Russian Leader.\u2019 <\/strong><\/p>

PUTIN\u2019S DOGS<\/strong><\/p>

It shall surprise anyone if the \u2018President\u2019s\u2019 8th \u2018Dog\u2019 <\/strong>is called \u2018Grigori.\u2019 <\/strong>Being closely attached to his \u2018Dogs\u2019<\/strong> and showing no love for humanity, a \u2018President\u2019<\/strong> so attached, as to be seen as divorced from his fellowmen, was likely to develop a \u2018Ferocious Instinct.\u2019 <\/strong><\/p>\n

HISTORY OF ARMED CONFLICT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not for the first time in the \u2018History of Armed Conflict,\u2019<\/strong> a world leader has emerged. He is seen as a \u2018Warmonger.\u2019<\/strong> The world despises his propensity for war. Such was often evident by his military aggressive and hostile behavior. Yet, a handful of world leaders have either openly embraced him or privately loathe and fearful of him. There is no question about his macho looks and dapper way of dress. His statesman-like appearance, often seems as incomparably matched. On the world stage, he has not only stood above most of his presidential counterparts, but also gives the impression of being focused and self-confident.<\/p>\n

THREAT TO WORLD PEACE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Beneath his perfectly tailored \u2018Amani Suits,\u2019<\/strong> is a leader with an imposing look and a heart filled with nothing, but \u2018Deception and Evil.\u2019<\/strong> In his dealings with humanity, he has shown sheer insensitivity, militarily brutal, destructive and intentionally cold-blooded. Demonstrating a steely resolve that \u2018Russia\u2019s Security Interests,\u2019 <\/strong>supersedes all other human considerations. Such a leader shall not only be seen as a \u2018Threat to World Peace,\u2019<\/strong> but also a destroyer of humanity. The reported unprovoked military incursion by the \u2018Russian Armed Forces,\u2019<\/strong> into \u2018Ukraine,\u2019<\/strong> not only speaks to his ruthlessness in adding to human pain and suffering to people the world-over.<\/p>\n

JEKYLL AND HYDE PERSONALITY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Likened to people fleeing from war-torn countries and the destruction inflicted upon them by warmongers, the \u2018United Nations\u2019<\/strong> appeared to have allowed one of its \u2018Super Power Members-Russia,<\/strong>\u2019 to take charge of the body. This \u2018Super Power Leader,\u2019 <\/strong>may very well have a \u2018Jekyll and Hyde<\/strong> Personality.\u2019<\/strong> People exhibiting dual nature were often said to have shown outwardly good, but sometimes, \u2018shockingly evil\u2019<\/strong> [Wikipedia: 1888]. From his presidential position, he will have been exhibiting behavior that is characteristically human. Conversely, he will have been displaying a ferocious dog-like behavior that only \u2018Veterinary Surgeons,\u2019<\/strong> including \u2018Dr. Radcliffe Robbins\u2019<\/strong> may have concluded, associated with a canine more ferocious than his \u2018Poodles,\u2019 \u2018Tosya and Rodeo.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

UN MISSION STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the \u2018United Nations\u2019<\/strong> have been looking at implications and justification for intervention, the \u2018hands-off approach,\u2019<\/strong> seems to have defeated the very \u2018Mission\u2019<\/strong> they have crafted for situations like the \u2018Russian\/Ukrainian Conflict.\u2019<\/strong> Anticipating that there will be conflict of all kinds between nations. They anticipated; (a) \u2018\u2026Territorial claims; (b) \u2026Border disputes and skirmishes; (c) \u2026Incursions or invasion; <\/strong>and (d) \u2026Armed conflict,\u2019<\/strong> the \u2018United Nations,\u2019<\/strong> posted at its website its \u2018Mission.\u2019<\/strong> As the largest inter-governmental organization, its mantra includes; (i)<\/strong> \u2018\u2026Maintain international peace and security; (ii) \u2026Preventing conflict;<\/strong> (iii)<\/strong> \u2026Mediating for nations in conflict: (iv)<\/strong> \u2026Creating conditions to hold peace: (v)\u2026Protecting human rights:<\/strong> (vi) \u2026Delivering humanitarian aid;<\/strong> (vii) \u2026Upholding international law;<\/strong> and (viii)<\/strong> \u2026Promoting sustainable development\u2019 [UN Website].<\/p>\n

SYMBOLIC POSTURE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Looked at from the current \u2018Russia\/Ukraine Conflict,\u2019<\/strong> many analysts have viewed the \u2018Mission Statement\u2019 <\/strong>as being more of \u2018Idealism\u2019<\/strong> than one of applicability to any member of the \u2018Super Power Grouping.\u2019 <\/strong>Clearly, the august international body called \u2018The United Nations\u2019<\/strong> has become nothing but \u2018Disunited.\u2019<\/strong> It has been the view of many observers that have been heard more for useless chatter and rhetoric, while the \u2018Russian Armed Forces\u2019 <\/strong>unrelentingly pound and flatter the \u2018Ukrainian\u2019<\/strong> nation and people. Then as the rest of world slumbers, \u2018Russian War Planes, Tanks, Mortars and Artillery\u2019 <\/strong>continue to destroy infrastructure and mercilessly slaughtering its people. In the current \u2018Russia\/Ukrainian Conflict,\u2019<\/strong> the view of many people that the umbrella body has taken on a \u2018Symbolic Posture.\u2019<\/strong> The warmongering \u2018Russian President\u2019 <\/strong>has made those that chair the \u2018General Assembly\u2019 <\/strong>and \u2018Security Council,<\/strong>\u2019 look as \u2018Impotent Infidels.\u2019 <\/strong><\/p>\n

CRAFTED CHARTER – SIGNATORIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

That website also show that \u2018Poland\u2019<\/strong> became the \u201851st<\/sup> founding member\u2019 [October 15, 1945]. <\/strong>Today, the \u2018General Assembly\u2019<\/strong> has a membership of some \u2018193 nations.\u2019 <\/strong>Instructively, when the body voted on the \u2018Resolution against Russia\u2019<\/strong> for \u2018Peace and Security,\u2019<\/strong> only; (i) \u2018\u2026Belarus; (ii) \u2026Eretria: (iii) \u2026North Korea; and (iv) Syria\u2019 voted against it\u2019 [Resolution:<\/strong> No. 2623\/2022: February 27, 2022].<\/strong> Interestingly, the \u2018Report of the United Nations<\/strong>\u2019 revealed that; (i) \u2018\u2026141<\/strong> nations voted \u2018For; (ii) <\/strong>\u20265 Voted Against, including Russia; <\/strong>and (iii) \u202635 Abstained\u2019 [Aljazeera: March 27, 2022].<\/strong> The nation of \u2018Antigua and Barbuda,\u2019<\/strong> likened to the \u2018141 or 34\u2019<\/strong> other nations, ensured that the \u2018Russian President,\u2019 <\/strong>did not view this nation as committing an act of treachery.<\/p>\n

OVERRIDING VETO POWER<\/strong><\/p>\n

Instructively, though they were some \u201851 Nations\u2019<\/strong> that were \u2018Signatories\u2019<\/strong> to the \u2018Crafted Charter,\u2019<\/strong> research has shown the foremost founders. History recorded them as; (i) \u2018\u2026The United States of America: (ii) \u2026United Kingdom: (iii) \u2026Russia; and (iv) \u2026China.\u2019 [UN Website: June 26, 1945]. <\/strong>Clearly, members of the umbrella body- \u2018United Nations\u2019<\/strong> know this, and so too is the \u2018Defiant; \u2026Ruthless; and \u2026Unconquerable,<\/strong>\u2019 \u2018Russian President, Vladimir Putin.\u2019<\/strong> Respecting the \u2018Resolutio<\/strong>n, the records shall show whether or not, it was a \u2018Vote\u2019<\/strong> against the \u2018Resolution\u2019<\/strong> or none for the nations in conflict. That which many have carefully looked at, has been the \u2018Overriding Veto Power\u2019<\/strong> that resides in a single member with membership on the \u2018Security Council.\u2019 <\/strong><\/p>\n

COMMUNITY PEACE<\/strong><\/p>\n

No nation is comfortable with silos and missiles deployed close to its borders. It has been the law enforcement knowledge\u2019 that any nuisance that existed and seen to have affected \u2018Community Peace\u2019<\/strong> or good neighborly relations, the affected had fearlessly taken action to eliminate such nuisance. For instance, should a neighbor insensitively have piled up debris in close proximity to a neighbor\u2019s boundary or fence, such action signifies conflict. Then one morning, even before the cock fowl stopped crowing, suffocating smoke engulfed the environs. Expectedly, affected and aggrieved neighbors moved quickly into action and arrest the situation by extinguishing the burning fire.<\/p>\n

NATIONAL SECURITY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now, looked at from the international community, there shall be no threat to, or breach of the peace and tranquility or good order. Where a nation\u2019s \u2018National Security\u2019 <\/strong>comes under threat by its neighbors, it is incumbent upon those threatened to remove such threat. Whether or not a threat has been perceived, be it real or imaginary, the likelihood of a \u2018Pre-emptive Military Strike,<\/strong>\u2019 has never been overlooked or remote. This might be done unilaterally or in alliance. Thus, militarily or otherwise, there shall be no threat, neither to \u2018National Security\u2019<\/strong> nor to \u2018International Peace.\u2019<\/strong> That in, and of itself not only has the potential for hostilities, but may also trigger the inevitable- \u2018Declaration War.\u2019<\/strong> Invariably, a strike may prompt the intervention of friendly or hostile nations.<\/p>\n

STATE OF PANIC<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just at a time when it appears that nations and their populations, were coming to living terms with one of the most dangerous infectious diseases, the \u2018Covid-19 Pandemic,\u2019<\/strong> \u2018Russian President Vladimir Putin\u2019<\/strong> has induced a \u2018State of Panic\u2019 <\/strong>among the global community. His military wrath has descended heavily upon the \u2018Ukrainian nation and people.\u2019<\/strong> Evidently, members of the \u2018United Nations\u2019<\/strong> seem mindful of his apparent resoluteness, ruthlessness and militarily reckless. For these reasons, other \u2018Super Power Leaders\u2019 <\/strong>seems fearful of \u2018Russia\u2019s War Machine\u2019<\/strong> and its \u2018Nuclear Forces.\u2019<\/strong> This has often escalated and\/or prolonged hostilities when nations intervened, thereby showing \u2018Partiality,\u2019<\/strong> instead of taking a \u2018Pacifist Position.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

LUKASHENKA- COLLABORATIONIST<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u2018United Nations\u2019<\/strong> appear more mortally afraid of the \u2018Russian President,<\/strong>\u2019 than the deadly spread of the \u2018Wuhan City\u2019 <\/strong>originated \u2018Corona-19 Virus\u2019 [Republic of China: December 2019].<\/strong>\u00a0 This, as the international community knows has seen every nation, either scrambling, in an attempt at controlling its infectious spread, while the wealthier nations have been developing or sourcing and shelving \u2018Covid-19 Vaccines.\u2019 <\/strong>In the midst of the public health crisis, the treacherous \u2018Belarus President Alyaksandr Lukashenka,\u2019<\/strong> accused of being a \u2018Collaborationist\u2019<\/strong> by facilitating the \u2018Russian Incursion\u2019<\/strong> into \u2018Ukraine\u2019<\/strong> through its border [February 24, 2022].<\/strong><\/p>\n

RUSSIAN SECURITY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Without a shadow of doubt, the \u2018Russian President\u2019 <\/strong>has shown clearly that whether or not, veil, real or imaginary, \u2018Russia\u2019<\/strong> shall not be threatened, neither by its neighbors, \u2018North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO),\u2019<\/strong> nor any other \u2018Super Power.\u2019<\/strong> Not the \u2018Republic of China,\u2019<\/strong> nor the powerful \u2018United States of America.\u2019 <\/strong>Clearly, \u2018Russian President Vladimir Putin\u2019<\/strong> has spoken to world leaders that there shall be no breaches to \u2018Russia\u2019s Security,<\/strong>\u2019 nor shall the \u2018Russia Leadership\u2019<\/strong> be given reasons to believe its \u2018Security\u2019<\/strong> is likely to be compromised.<\/p>\n

WARMONGERING PERSPECTIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n

From a \u2018Warmongering Perspective,\u2019<\/strong> it might be very wrong for any world leader to say that \u2018Russian President Vladimir Putin\u2019<\/strong> cares more about people than his \u2018Dogs.\u2019<\/strong> It would also be a miscalculation or to be seen as being daft and naive not to have been able to discern his; (a) \u2018\u2026Military intentions and actions; (b) \u2026Presidential aims and objectives; and (c) \u2026Strategic exploits.\u2019 <\/strong>Though not necessarily so, the intensity and ferocity of his roaring Fighter Jets, crushing tanks, mortars and artillery bombardment of Ukraine\u2019 <\/strong>may just have given the international community, \u2018NATO\u2019<\/strong> and the \u2018United Nations\u2019<\/strong> an inkling of such doggish instinct. <\/strong><\/p>\n

WARRING MACHINATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u2018Russian Super Power\u2019<\/strong> nation has now placed itself on the warpath. He has now been seen as \u2018Defiant; \u2026Ruthless; \u2026Impregnable; and \u2026Unconquerable.\u2019 <\/strong>Such characterization not only speaks to the \u2018Warring Machinations\u2019<\/strong> of the \u2018Russian President,\u2019 <\/strong>but also that which has been contended as an unprovoked and unjustified \u2018Invasive War\u2019<\/strong> mounted against \u2018Russia\u2019s bordering neighbor, \u2018Ukraine\u2019 [February 24, 2022]. <\/strong>That which he has inflicted upon the \u2018Ukrainian<\/strong> nation and people,\u2019 have prompted \u2018United States President Joseph \u2018Joe\u2019 Biden,\u2019<\/strong> another \u2018Super Power,\u2019<\/strong> to rhetorically call him a \u2018War Criminal\u2019 [CNN: March 17, 2022].<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHEESE TO CHALK LEADERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leaders of the \u2018North Atlantic Treaty Alliance Organization (NATO)\u2019<\/strong> shall not under estimate the \u2018Russia\u2019s\u2019 <\/strong>military might and combative mentality of \u2018Russian President Vladimir Putin.<\/strong>\u2019 No doubt, he may have seen no current leader with the resolve of those that have been long been transitioned. Today, he may have viewed those currently leading as \u2018Cheese to Chalk.\u2019 <\/strong>He would have known of the resolute and pragmatist nature of the \u2018John Fitzgerald Kennedys [January 20, 1961- November 22, 1963]; \u2026Cowboy President Ronald Reagans [January 20, 1981-January 20, 1989]; and wartime President George Walker Bush\u2019s [January 20, 2001-N<\/strong>ovember 20, 2009].<\/p>\n

TRUTH- FIRST CASUALTIY<\/strong><\/p>\n

It has been said that notwithstanding the first \u2018Casualties of War\u2019<\/strong> are usually the infrastructure and people, to those reading or listening, the \u2018First Casualty\u2019<\/strong> has been said to be \u2018Truth.\u2019 <\/strong>The \u2018Russian Incursion\u2019<\/strong> onto \u2018Ukraine\u2019s<\/strong> territory saw a ghastly and deadly war being waged against its defensive and non-combatant people. There have been intense and sustained bombings. These were reported to have resulted in widespread destruction and mass casualties. Without knowing the \u2018Truth\u2019<\/strong> of what in actuality has been the extent of the aftermath of the destructive and deadly military operations, the world seems to be in no better position to know of the numbers of \u2018Civilian and War Deaths.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

CIVILIAN AND WAR DEATHS<\/strong><\/p>\n

In any event, several news portals have given figures of \u2018Civilian and War Deaths and Displacement.\u2019<\/strong> It was reported that; (i)<\/strong> \u2026Some \u20181, 900\u2019 <\/strong>Civilians were bombarded and\/or collaterally killed. Among them, 52 Children; (ii) <\/strong>\u2026War Deaths- combatants were reported to number \u20187, 000; <\/strong>and (iii) \u2026Fleeing <\/strong>from bombardment and seeking refuge in neighboring nations were some \u20183, 000, 000 people,\u2019 <\/strong>while some \u201910, 000, 000 have been displaced\u2019 [BBC: March 19, 2022]. <\/strong>Other news reports have given numbers of some \u2018847 civilian deaths, among them 64 children\u2019 [CNBC: March 19, 2022]. <\/strong>Recent news reports speak to an exodus of \u2018Ukrainians,\u2019 <\/strong>numbering over \u20181, 000, 000 people\u2019 <\/strong>are now said to be on Polish soil. There are some \u201865, 000 children\u2019 <\/strong>that have been placed in schools to continue their education [BBC: March 19, 2022]. <\/strong><\/p>\n

MILITARY AIMS\/OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n

If he had no love for his \u2018Dog,\u2019<\/strong> then \u2018Belarus President Alyaksandr Grigoryevich Lukashenka\u2019<\/strong> shall know that his \u2018Russian\u2019<\/strong> counterpart may not have deployed his \u2018War Machine\u2019<\/strong> to reduce the population of \u2018Ukraine.\u2019 <\/strong>As a \u2018Collaborationist\u2019 he knew that his \u2018Armed Forces\u2019<\/strong> would be killing the innocent, defenceless and terror-stricken women and girls and babies. Adding to this, has been the widespread infrastructural destruction inflicted on buildings occupied by civilians as safe havens. Given these truths, the treacherous and apparent subservient \u2018Belarusian President\u2019 <\/strong>shall know that neither himself, nor other neighboring nations shall harbor illusions about the \u2018Russian President\u2019s\u2019<\/strong> \u2018Military Aims and Objectives.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

GERMAN\/RUSSIAN WARS FOR BELARUS<\/strong><\/p>\n

That which shall be known is that, as situations may demand or as circumstances may dictate, the \u2018Warmongering Russian President,\u2019 <\/strong>will not hesitate to let \u2018Loose\u2019<\/strong> his \u2018War Machine\u2019 <\/strong>on the nation he leads as \u2018Belarus.\u2019 <\/strong>This nation shall not only be constantly mindful of \u2018Russia\u2019s\u2019 <\/strong>military might, but also the \u2018Jostling Wars\u2019<\/strong> fought by then \u2018Germany and Russia\u2019<\/strong> for territorial control. Clearly, with unmatched military capability, armament of every description, including stockpiles of \u2018Inter-continental ballistic and hypersonic missiles \u2013 \u20183M22 Zircon and Avangard,\u2019 \u2018Russian President Vladimir Putin\u2019<\/strong> has positioned his nation\u2019s \u2018Military\u2019 <\/strong>for \u2018Armed Conflict<\/strong>.\u2019 As \u2018Commander-in-Chief,\u2019<\/strong> he has postured an attitude of a fearless leader and one of extraordinary courage. He has also postured his \u2018Armed Forces\u2019<\/strong> as invincible. Thus, leaders near and far away from \u2018Russia\u2019<\/strong>s territorial borders, whether singularly or in alliance with other nations, shall know that no nation holds \u2018Military Terror\u2019 <\/strong>for the \u2018Russian Republic.\u2019 <\/strong>Thus, he has shown that he was prepared to use those missiles with unrestrained ruthlessness.<\/p>\n

FORCEFUL DEMANDS<\/strong><\/p>\n

This may have been evident by the aggressive \u2018Stance Against<\/strong> Ukraine,\u2019<\/strong> and by extension, the rest of the international community. The invasion of \u2018Ukraine\u2019 by<\/strong> \u2018Super Power Russia,\u2019<\/strong> has not only left world leaders befuddled and bewildered, but also scrambling to find ways in an attempt at bringing a \u2018Non-military Resolution.\u2019 <\/strong>The military onslaught saw men and women of all ages, able-body, disabled and infirmed, children and infants in arms being indiscriminately targeted by \u2018Russian Fighter Jets,\u2019 <\/strong>operating in tandem with armored vehicles, including \u2018tanks, mortars and artillery.\u2019<\/strong> These destructive and deadly \u2018Weapons of War,\u2019 <\/strong>were reported to have been relentlessly pounding the \u2018Ukrainian\u2019 infrastructural landscape, <\/strong>while warplanes continue dropping cluster and hypersonic bombs on the \u2018non-air covered Cities.\u2019<\/strong> These appear to have been more frequent than the rain falling from the heavenly skies on arable and barren land. People across the globe continue to frown, protest, groan and moan, hoping that the carnage and destruction will cease. Even so, lives lost and the extensiveness of infrastructural destruction could never see an immediate return to normalcy.
