Every year on March 8, we commemorate International Women\u2019s Day. A global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.<\/p>

In Antigua and Barbuda, the Democratic National Alliance is the only political party with a woman as its political leader. Across the region, only 22% of Ministerial Portfolios are held by women. We have to do better \u2013 We have to #BreakTheBias.<\/p>\n

Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists isn\u2019t enough, action is needed to level the playing field.<\/p>
