Police Hold Town Hall Meeting with AUA Students<\/p>

Members of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda in partnership with American University of Antigua- AUA held a Town Hall Meeting with several medical students on campus Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

The aim was to sensitize the students at the university on matters of general safety and security.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The officers presented on topics such as: Traffic and Road Safety, Constitutional Rights, Cyber Crimes, Sex Crimes, Drugs related offences, and Police Procedures during an investigation.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Commissioner Rodney was among the presenters and used the opportunity to reassure the students that the police force stands ready to be of assistance to them during their course of study, and to provide the best courteous and professional services.
\nHe also wished the students a safe and successful semester.<\/p>\n

The presenters were Detectives Inspector Theodore Horne and Senior Sergeant Kleus Lavia from the Major Crimes Unit, Senior Sergeant Kenny McBurnie from the traffic department, Sergeant Caynes Joseph and Constable Stacy Thomas from the Coolidge Police Station, Corporal Shepherd Allie and Constable Webber from the Narcotics Department, and Sergeant Denise Byers from the Special Victims Unit.<\/p>
