The Antigua & Barbuda Workers Union joined forces with the main opposition United Progressive Party, by promising to reclaim Antigua and Barbuda for the working class.<\/p>

ABWU Deputy General Secretary Chester Hughes said \u201cwe gather here because we are fed up with what is happening in Antigua & Barbuda\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to send a clear message today that the mission to reclaim Antigua and Barbuda is on,\u201d Hughes told members and supports at the party\u2019s headquarters in St.John\u2019s.<\/p>\n

United Progressive Party caretaker Joan Underwood called on workers to use their power to effect change.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorkers are the life force of any country. So rise up, when you say you want an inquiry..shut the Country down, we have the economic power to bring them to their knees,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Underwood a former diplomat claimed that youth unemployment is 34 adding \u201cWe have fought for too long to now cower before a dictator.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two groups then marched through the nation\u2019s capital and will meet later today for entertainment activities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
