The agreement, which was signed on Wednesday is the culmination of several months of negotiations between the Management of Signature Flight Support, the Employers Federation and the Antigua & Barbuda Workers\u2019 Union (ABWU).<\/p>

Industrial Relations Officer at the ABWU, Fernando Samuel, said the Union is pleased to have successfully completed the negotiations.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201cWhile there was only a 6.5% salary increase over the three-year period, the Union was able to reduce the off season for the company from six months to three months, in addition to an increase in the shift allowance and transportation allowance,\u201d Samuel said. \u201cThe Company is also actively pursuing the development of a comprehensive retirement plan for all team members.\u201d<\/p>\n

HR Partner at Signature Flight Support, Mrs. Kerry-Ann Mc Collin, said the signing of the Collective Agreement was a significant occasion for the Company. Mc Collin described the negotiations as cordial and productive.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was especially delighted to have been able to foster such professional relations and good rapport with the ABWU. We definitely hope that in the future when we meet at the ‘table’ again we can replicate such peaceful negotiations but at a faster pace. As you can appreciate, we know such \u2018talks\u2019 can take time, but I am pleased that we have reached an agreement that is certainly beneficial to our team members and the Company altogether,\u201d Mc Collin concluded.<\/p>

General Manager of Signature Flight Support Antigua, St. Kitts & Nevis, Kenyatta Thomas, reaffirmed Signature\u2019s commitment to facilitating dialogue with workers and their bargaining agents.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike most companies, we are very strong advocates of the Union. We think that the Union plays a pivotal part in ensuring that employees are well taken care of based on the labour laws of the land, and we want to ensure that we continue to do our part with that,\u201d Thomas said.<\/p>\n

The new Collective Agreement will cover the period May 01 2021 \u2013 April 30 2024.<\/p>\n
