Shell Beach Road is one of the hardest places to control the rubbish and droppings from the night visitors, who maintain its lovers lane reputation, even though the area is now busily occupied by aviation and marine activity.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

In recent years two enterprising charities have tried and failed miserably in their efforts at placing containers at what they in their own evaluation consider strategic locations. First was the Ocean savers whose budget only allowed them to use old tyres joined together (which came apart and became more rubbish).<\/p>\n

More recently through our gracious GG who walks the area and had his charity place some store-bought attractive garbage containers cemented to areas on the road amply fitted with plastic garbage bags.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The containers remain for the most part empty while the garbage and litter continue unabated by the night lovers, loiterers and fishermen.<\/p>\n

Charity without knowledge and consultation often can result in contempt. And arrogance in giving without concern for those receiving can often turn a good gesture into one of frustration.<\/p>

Had the charitable and environmentally conscious organization only bothered to talk to the business places on the Shell Beach strip, together we could have shared the problem and found a method of education for the litter lovers, and fulfillment for all users of Shell Beach Road.<\/p>\n

Giving and charitable works require consultation with the receivers of charity.<\/p>
