Flow Antigua and Barbuda continues to promote one of its core mandates of providing greater online access with the donation of Seventy-Five (75) tablets to the Ministry of Education as part of its annual Mission Week activities.<\/p>

The tablets were presented to the Golden Grove and Seaview Farm School to help foster easier access to the digital world and enable the children of these communities an improved online learning experience.<\/p>\n

The Amazon Fire tablets are equipped with durable cases to extend the life of each device for maximum use by the students.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

They were funded through the Cable & Wireless Charitable Foundation<\/a> (CWCF), a non-profit organization that serves as C&W Communications’ corporate social responsibility arm.<\/p>\n

C&W Communications, the\u00a0operator of the Flow brands in the Caribbean, set up the\u00a0Foundation to support charitable and community causes in the company’s markets.<\/p>

\u201cAs the country\u2019s leading communications and entertainment provider, we chose to further enhance our Mission Week activities with this great initiative\u201d, said the Company\u2019s Country Manager Joe Mathieson. \u201cThrough this companywide project we will make a significant difference in the educational lives of the students for whom access to technology and online facilities are critical to their educational success. This is even more so for those students whose parents may not be able to afford these much-needed tablets.<\/p>\n

\u201d The tablets were handed over to the Minister of Education, the Hon. Daryl Matthew on 22nd November.\u00a0 The Minister was delighted and grateful for the timely donation. He remarked \u201cThese tablets will be put to good use by the students, who with the help of the dedicated teachers, have always risen to the occasion as high achievers regardless of their economic status. The availability of online access is truly a catalyst for positive change as they mature in their educational journey.\u201d, said Minister Matthew.<\/p>
