This government and the previous UPP one, were both accused of manipulating the Courts to go after political foes.<\/p>\n

But all of those cases were thrown out by the Courts \u2013 those brought under the UPP administration and those by the ABLP administration.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

That tells us 2 things. One is that there is a clear separation of powers between the political and judicial sectors. The law works.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

And secondly, Antigua and Barbuda must have had and have the most incompetent Attormeys- General in the history of the world.<\/p>\n

I think Junstin Simon lost as many as eight of these cases and Cutie Benjamin is quickly catching up. None better than none. Both are just as bad.<\/p>

The bigger issue here is that the Attorney-General is a government\u2019s chief law officer who advises the government on legal matters.<\/p>\n

If your Attorney-General is incompetent then the country has a serious problem that can have far reacing consequences for the country.<\/p>

It is certainly time for political parties to stop appointing their friends and supporters to this critical position and find a competent legal mind.<\/p>
