Negotiators at the UN COP26 summit in Glasgow have adopted a new deal on climate action after a last-minute intervention by India to water down the language on slashing emissions from coal.<\/p>

Several countries including small island states said they were deeply disappointed by the move on Saturday to \u201cphase down,\u201d rather than \u201cphase out\u201d coal power, the single biggest source of greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n
