Following short-lived strike action earlier Tuesday School Bus Drivers and Conductors of the Antigua Barbuda Transport Board (ABTB) will resume their duties at noon today.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The workers were demanding the removal of the replacement of what they called \u2018an unbearable management structure\u2019 following the departure of Arif Jonas from the post of Manager in September this year.<\/p>\n

The employees\u2019 Union Representative Kem Riley of the Antigua Barbuda Workers\u2019 Union (ABWU) had met with scores of agitated and disgruntled workers this morning at the Motor Pool.<\/p>

In response, ABTB General Manager Junie Jarvis has appointed Taisha Yorke the organization\u2019s Human Resource Manager as the Supervisor of the School Bus system. She will serve until a permanent replacement can be appointed.<\/p>

The employees agreed this was substantial enough to satisfy their demands and agreed to be back on the job from noon to transport the nation\u2019s children from schools.<\/p>\n
