I know it was a great experience for her and her schoolmates,\u201d beamed one parent.<\/p>\n<p>The Kanneh-Masons thrilled the Antigua audience last year in their inaugural orchestral performance, <em><i>Playing to Inspire. <\/i><\/em>This year\u2019s performance sought to showcase not only the musical talents of the \u2018most talented family in the world\u2019 (Simon Cowell), but also that of the local youth in Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p><div id=\"antig-3908287498\" class=\"antig-content_2 antig-entity-placement\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.courts.com\/antigua\/\" aria-label=\"500X500 (1)\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mlavawteztbj.i.optimole.com\/w:500\/h:500\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/antiguanewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/500X500-1.jpg\" alt=\"\"  srcset=\"https:\/\/mlavawteztbj.i.optimole.com\/w:500\/h:500\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/antiguanewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/500X500-1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/mlavawteztbj.i.optimole.com\/w:300\/h:300\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/antiguanewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/500X500-1.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mlavawteztbj.i.optimole.com\/w:150\/h:150\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/antiguanewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/500X500-1.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"   \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>A mass youth choir comprising voices from several schools and organizations across the island and abroad: the Antigua Girls High, Antigua Grammar, Clare Hall Secondary, Jennings Secondary, National Youth Choir, Potters SDA Youth Choir and the Chorus of Dissent (UK), sang with angelic tones, passion and perfect harmony.<\/p>\n<p>The choir of approximately 100 voices was ably accompanied by the orchestra which comprised the Kanneh-Mason\u2019s; Chairperson for the recently formed ABYSO board, Mrs. Marion Byron thanked the patrons, Their Excellencies Sir Rodney Williams and Lady Sandra Williams for having pledged their unwavering support to the organization. Several instruments have already been sourced and donated by the patrons and were officially handed over to the ABYSO during the concert.<\/p>\n<p>Other board members consist of: Dr Jillia Bird, Claudine Benjamin, Dr Lester Simon, Dr George Roberts, Vernon Jeffers, Marion Byron, Tiffany Smith, Roberto Falangola, Josie-Ann Hampson (treasurer), and Lisa Hixon (secretary).<\/p>\n<p>The Minister of Culture E.P. Chet Greene also commended the efforts of the ABYSO board saying that, \u201cthe inaugural programme in 2017 was not as extravagant as this one, so it tells me that already this initiative is growing\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many of the local teachers also gave a tremendous help to this effort: Renee Smith of the National Youth Choir; Joelle Michael of the Clare Hall Secondary; Quincy Etinoff of the Antigua Grammar; Caryl Edwards Lewis of the Antigua Girls\u2019 High; Camelia Thomas of the Jennings Secondary; Claudine Benjamin and Clarita Thomas of the Potters SDA Church Youth Choir;
