(Health Ministry resumes first and second dose Pfizer administration)<\/p>

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment wishes to announce that the administration of both the first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine will resume at the Multipurpose Cultural and Exhibition Centre as well as the Villa Polyclinic, All Saints Health Centre and Clarehall Health Centre effective October 26, 2021.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This decision is being taken as a result of the U.S. Government preparing to donate its second tranche of Pfizer vaccine doses to Antigua and Barbuda and Barbados early next month.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

As stated in a release from the U.S Embassy in Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda is scheduled to receive its second shipment of 23,400 Pfizer vaccine doses in November after receiving the first tranche on August 12th, 2021.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The Pfizer vaccine is the only vaccine approved for use in children as young as 12 years old and is undergoing an approval process for use in children as young as five.<\/p>

The Ministry of Health has confirmed receiving 5,000 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine from St Lucia.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As a result, effective Tuesday, 26th October, first and second doses will be administered at the Multi-Purpose Cultural and Exhibition Centre and the Villa Polyclinic.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The Pfizer vaccine will also be available at All Saints and Clare Hall Health Centers on an appointment basis.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Meanwhile, the Ministry is reminding the public that there are other vaccines available in the country.<\/p>\n

These include the AstraZeneca, Sinopharm and the Johnson and Johnson.<\/p>\n

Weekend Vaccination will also take place on Saturday 30th October 2021 at the Multipurpose Cultural and Exhibition Centre from 9am to 3pm.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The vaccines that will be available are Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm and the Johnson and Johnson.<\/p>\n
