November 18th<\/sup>, 1978, gave the World one of the most disturbing mass murder of the faithful by a spiritual leader.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

The US preacher,\u00a0 reverend Jim Jones, leader of the People\u2019s temple (an off-the-grid,\u00a0 bush\u00a0 settlement)\u00a0 established in Guyana, is reported to have ordered the mass murder of more than 800 of his\u00a0 followers,\u00a0 deep in the\u00a0 jungle, near Guyana\u2019s\u00a0 border with Venezuela.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

The weapon of choice? A cocktail of a poisoned Brue, referred to as \u201cthe Cool-aid\u201d.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Jim Jones may even\u00a0 have\u00a0\u00a0 used force of arms to dictate\u00a0\u00a0 his murderous sacrificial ritual.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

So horrific and remote was the murder scene, the clean-up had to be undertaken using military logistics.\u00a0Did Reverend Jim Jones kill his followers to hide evidence from US authorities?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

43 years later,\u00a0 The reverend Dr Kevin\u00a0 Smith,\u00a0 leader of the Pathway\u00a0 International Kingdom\u00a0 restoration Ministries in Paradise,\u00a0 near Montego Bay Jamaica, may\u00a0 have\u00a0 summoned congregants to\u00a0\u00a0 come urgently to his temple, dressed in white (without\u00a0 mobile phones)\u00a0 in order to \u201cescape\u00a0 the pending flood\u201d.\u00a0Up to\u00a0\u00a0 144 women, children and men obeyed.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The police eventually received a call from an injured member, who managed to escape,\u00a0 what may have been an attempt to offer her up as a sacrifice.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So brutish and murderous was the scene inside the religious sanctuary that police first responders were met with gun fire, forcing them to retreat and call for back-up. In the meantime, at\u00a0least 1 member of the Reverend Dr Smith\u2019s\u00a0\u00a0 congregation, might have already been sacrificed.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Some believe\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0only a quick response by the high command of the Montego Bay police and a commando-style entry to the place of worship, prevented many more members of the cult from being offered-up.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What, if anything could the Canadian-trained psychologist be trying to hide?\u00a0If he spent 10 years in Canada before returning to Jamaica as a psychologist, He is certainly not your typical\u201dhalf-baked-street-pastor, trying to con vulnerable be lievers out of money and property.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If\u00a0\u00a0 his\u00a0church really collects more than a million dollars each week, he is definitely on to a quite successful business module, if not a criminal enterprise. Is it a fact that his congregation includes: Security officers, schoolteachers, Health workers and tax collectors?\u00a0 Then, one\u00a0\u00a0 cannot count his followers as being among Jamaica\u2019s poor and vulnerable??? Some may\u00a0 believe he was a good man, even performing miracles, but that\u00a0\u00a0 he became \u201cradicalized\u201d? A psychologist masquerading as a minister of religion,\u00a0 can shaft\u00a0 anyone who wants to be had.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Contextually, it is believed that\u00a0Jamaica owns the unique contradiction:\u00a0 Of most churches per capita, along with one of the highest murder rate in the world.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Throughout history,\u00a0where\u00a0ever societies descended into intractable\u00a0and uncontrollable mayhem, Fundamentalist religion and organized crime have often\u00a0 been key ingredients in the toxic brew.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The intelligence community, in Jamaica, may wish to\u00a0 include this historical fact in its calculus, going forward.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Walk good and remember, the faithful believes\u00a0\u00a0 that\u00a0 God owns everything, so he does not need your money and property – High quality and well-regulated social services offered by your church, mosque, synagogue or temple, need it more.<\/p>\n
