COVID-19 cases recorded for in Barbados Sunday, October 10, number 214. The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 1,706 tests.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

Of the 94 males and 120 females who tested positive, 55\u00a0persons are under the age of 18, and\u00a0159\u00a0are 18 years and older. There are\u00a0565 people in isolation facilities, and 2,088 in home isolation.<\/p>\n

Four persons aged 73, 80, 69 and 74 died from the virus. Two were vaccinated and two unvaccinated.<\/p>

Since March 2020, confirmed cases of the virus have reached 11,132 (5,386 males and 5,746 females), and there have been 98 deaths. The public health laboratory has carried out 342,465 tests.<\/p>

<\/div>\n

Under the National Vaccination Programme, 142,182 people have received first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines.\u00a0 A total of 112,162 persons (41.4 per cent of the total population or 49.1 per cent of the eligible population) have had their second dose and are now fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n

The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.<\/p>
