We can confirm that sadly, a patient, who tested positive for COVID-19, has died at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre. Here are the details:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Sex: Male<\/p>\n

Age: 47 _(multiple comorbidities)_<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Admitted: October 3 _(diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and acute renal failure (ARF))_<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Date\/Time of Death: October 8 at 2:35pm (condition worsened)<\/p>\n

Vaccination Status: Vaccinated<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThis patient was very ill when he came to us. We had to defer his dialysis treatment because he was so critical. As with every patient, we do our best to send them back home to their families.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Unfortunately, this patient\u2019s condition worsened with septic shock and multi-organ failure and we were unable to save him.<\/p>\n
