Health and Safety<\/b><\/p>\n

In order to protect the health and safety of our personnel and the public, we follow strict social distancing practices in our facilities.\u00a0 All applicants must wear face masks at all times while visiting the Embassy. \u00a0Applicants must also adhere to all local health protocols including any mandatory quarantine requirements.\u00a0 If you are feeling ill or have reason to believe you have been exposed to COVID-19 please do not visit the Embassy and instead contact us at\u00a0BridgetownNIV@state.gov<\/a>\u00a0to reschedule your appointment for a later date.\u00a0\u00a0Please note that there are no exceptions for local mandatory quarantine requirements \u2013 you will be turned away and not allowed entry into the Embassy.<\/b><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Consular Section\u00a0of the U.S. Embassy in Bridgetown is responsible for providing visa services to those seeking to enter the United States for a temporary period and for those wishing to take up indefinite or permanent residence in the United States.<\/p>\n

R<\/u><\/strong>enewal Interview Waiver (RIW):<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0 The Department of State, in consultation with the Department of Homeland Security, has temporarily expanded the ability of consular officers to waive the in-person interview requirement for individuals applying for a nonimmigrant visa in the same classification.\u00a0 Previously, only those applicants whose nonimmigrant visa expired within 12 months were eligible for an interview waiver.\u00a0 The Department of State has temporarily extended the expiration period to 48 months. \u00a0This policy is in effect through December 31, 2021.<\/strong>\u00a0This change will allow consular officers to continue processing certain nonimmigrant visa applications while limiting the number of applicants who must appear at a consular section, thereby reducing the risk of COVID-19 transmission to other applicants and consular staff. At this time, you must be a citizen and passport holder of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Vincent and the Grenadines to qualify.<\/p>\n

Applicants who have not\u00a0<\/strong>previously held a valid visa will continue to require an interview.<\/strong><\/p>\n
