\u00a0The General Public is being notified that CO Williams Construction Ltd. will be carrying out works on\u00a0Sir Sydney Walling Highway (SSWH)<\/i>\u00a0to improve the Eastern side of the North Sound Roundabout, which will result in a\u00a02 day closure<\/u><\/b>\u00a0of that side of the Roundabout to ALL traffic.<\/div>\n
\u00a0Vehicular Traffic approaching the Roundabout from the West (Sugar Factory Side) will be diverted to the left of the Roundabout and will rejoin the SSWH via the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium (see the attached diversion).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Vehicular Traffic approaching the Roundabout from the East will proceed around the Roundabout as usual.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Please note that Heavy Vehicles and Emergency Vehicles will be diverted through the Stadium Road on the shoulder of a portion of the closed section of the Roundabout. All motorists and road users are asked to proceed with extreme caution when traversing the construction site.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The General Public is also being notified that CO Williams Construction Ltd. will begin undertaking works on\u00a0Valley Road North (VRN)\u00a0<\/i>between the Whenner Road junction and the entrance of Ffryes Beach. The initial works will involve the installation of APUA Telecommunications Ducts\/Watermain Crossings. These crossings will be done at night and this will result in the closure of sections of\u00a0Valley Road North\u00a0<\/i>during curfew hours\u00a0(8pm-5am)<\/b>.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
These works are expected to begin on\u00a0Monday, October 4, 2021\u00a0<\/b>and will continue for a period of\u00a02-3 weeks<\/b>. Whenever diversions are not possible, the Contractor will make provisions for the single lane passage of light vehicular traffic and emergency vehicles. More details about the crossings and general road works will be provided on a weekly basis.<\/div>\n
