John Fuller<\/p>\n

The news of the death of John Fuller was met with, \u201dOh No!!\u201d by most of us.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

The expression was a mixture of immediate sadness and distress.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Immediate sadness because John was a kind and empathetic soul; distress because his death leaves a gaping hole in the fabric of the legal profession and in the nation of Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I worked with John as a Legal Assistant (now called Crown Counsel) in the Ministry of Legal Affairs in 1975.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

John was of a rare breed of lawyers who was not cantankerous, and who went out of his way to make everyone with whom he came in contact comfortable, including his clients, Judges, and other lawyers. He always tried to assist young lawyers.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

John had as clients from the highest to the lowliest in our community. John never showed malice – when I found myself on the other side of his most passionate causes, (for example, preserving the old public library\/treasury building at the bottom of High Street), John would still relate on a personal level and without rancour or ill will.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

John will be remembered for his humour. We cannot grieve his loss without a smile.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

The legal profession in Antigua and Barbuda will miss this giant of a lawyer.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Evolution Chambers will be no more.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

John\u2019s was a life well lived and enjoyed.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Condolences to John\u2019s family and loved ones.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

John Fuller was a good man. May his soul rest in peace.<\/p>\n
