The most recent reports received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) revealed eighty-seven (87) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Tuesday 21st September 2021 at 6pm.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
One hundred and fifteen (115) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and one hundred and eighty-two (182) were processed by CARPHA.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
One hundred and seventeen (117) recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to one thousand eight hundred and fifty-four (1854).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
One (1) Covid-19 related death was recorded increasing the total to sixty-four (64).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is two thousand nine hundred and two (2902); which is inclusive of nine hundred and eighty-four (984) active cases. There are fifty-six (56) hospitalized cases; thirty-eight (38) mild, three (3) moderate and fifteen (15) severe.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated forty thousand six hundred and seventy-two (40,672) individuals while seven thousand nine hundred and eight (7,908) have only received their first dose.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
