Residents say they are \u201cgetting antsy\u201d about the delay of the COVID-19 dashboard, and are asking what the Ministry of Health is hiding.<\/p>

An acknowledged \u201cnumbers-watcher\u201d tells REAL News the dashboard is now a whole week behind, since the last published statistics were shared on September 16.<\/p>\n

The new infections, as of that date, were 140, and followed the record-breaking 159 of September 13. \u201cBut since then, nothing! We want to know what the hold-up is,\u201d the retired woman declares.<\/p>

With speculation running rife, employees of the National Solid Waste Authority shared their fears of exposure yesterday.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Staff told REAL News \u2013 and later circulated a commentary \u2013 that a senior manager had tested positive for the coronavirus. They alleged that the information had been withheld from most of the employees, several of whom had been in close contact with the manager up to last Thursday.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, the frightened employees want the Authority to have their colleagues tested \u201cand the entire building to be properly sanitized.\u201d<\/p>

They said, at the time, that their efforts to reach Health Minister Molwyn Joseph, among others, had failed.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, residents of Jennings Village \u2013 which sits in Sir Molwyn\u2019s constituency \u2013 are also complaing and asking for his intervention.<\/p>

According to a member of that community, \u201cit rains in Jennings every day; literally several times per 24-hour day,\u201d and yet the village is without water, he says.<\/p>

Another asks: \u201cHow are Jennings people to practice COVID-19 protocols without water for hand-washing \u2013 the basic frontline protocol?\u201d<\/p>\n

And referencing the current economic situation, with many persons\u2019 employment threatened by the new vaccination mandate, she adds: \u201cPeople need work to buy sanitizer, but most can manage soap and water.\u201d<\/p>\n

Accordingly, Joseph is being called on to do something to improve the villagers\u2019 situation.<\/p>\n
