Oscar-winning actor Jeff Bridges said Monday that his lymphoma is in remission, and he is feeling better after battling Covid-19, which he said made \u201ccancer look like a piece of cake.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cMy cancer is in remission \u2014 the 9\u00d712 mass has shrunk down to the size of a marble,\u201d Bridges, probably best known for playing The Dude in 1998\u2019s \u201cThe Big Lebowski,\u201d wrote on his website.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Bridges, 71, announced in October of last year that he had been diagnosed with lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. He said at the time that his prognosis was \u201cgood\u201d and he was starting treatment.<\/p>

On Monday, Bridges also shared that his \u201cCovid is the rearview mirror.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cCovid kicked my ass pretty good, but I\u2019m double vaccinated and feeling much better,\u201d he wrote, saying he believed the vaccine was to thank for his \u201cquick improvement.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bridges linked to an update he had penned in March, but had not posted, which revealed he was exposed to Covid while getting chemo treatments. He said his wife also caught the virus and was hospitalized for five days, while he was there for five weeks.<\/p>

\u201cThe reason I\u2019m there so long is because my immune system is shot from the chemo,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dance with Covid makes my cancer look like a piece of cake,\u201d he added.<\/p>

<\/div>\n

Bridges said he had \u201cmoments of tremendous pain,\u201d in which he would cry out \u201call through the night\u201d feeling he was \u201cgettin\u2019 close to the pearly gates.\u201d But \u201call in all, I felt joyous and happy most of the time.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cThis brush with mortality has brought me a real gift \u2014 life is brief & beautiful. Love is all around us, & available @ all times,\u201d Bridges said his experience taught him.<\/p>\n

Bridges said Monday that until recently, he has needed oxygen assistance to walk around. \u201cThe sound of it reminds me of Darth Vader,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

But with the help of therapy, Bridges said, he was able to meet his goal of walking his daughter, Hayley, down the aisle at her wedding. Bridges was also able to enjoy the father-daughter dance with his daughter \u201cwithout oxygen,\u201d he shared, along with a sweet video of the moment.<\/p>\n
