On Friday, 27th August, 2021, the Honourable E. P. Chet Greene, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Trade welcomed His Excellency Priyo Iswanto, Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Antigua and Barbuda on his final tour of duty as the nation\u2019s accredited Ambassador.<\/p>

 <\/p>\n

During the farewell call, Minister Greene and Ambassador Iswanto signed an Agreement regarding the \u2018Waiver of Short Stay Visa Requirements for Mutual Visits by Citizens\u2019 of both countries. This is in accordance with the desire by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, to further develop the friendly relations existing between both nations. The agreement will allow for the facilitation of travel for nationals of Antigua and Barbuda and the Republic of Indonesia.<\/p>

The visa waiver will come into effect after both countries internal immigration processes have been completed.<\/p>\n

Minister Greene also expressed gratitude to Ambassador Iswanto for his fruitful tenure, having overseen the further enhancement of Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s longstanding bilateral relationship with Indonesia and wished Ambassador Iswanto much success in his next assignment.<\/p>\n

Madam Tri Iswanto, Spouse of Ambassasor Iswanto and Ms. Rina Permatasari Bey, Head of Economic Affairs, also accompanied the Ambassador on his farewell tour.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Iswanto was formally accredited to Antigua and Barbuda in June, 2017 and was the Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bogota, Colombia.<\/p>\n
