We wish to advise the general public that the Antigua and Barbuda Civil Registry (ABCR)
\nwill remain closed during the week starting Monday 23h August 2021 to facilitate the
\nongoing upgrades to the software system.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

Given the critical nature of the identity data being handled, the ABCR continues to work
\nclosely with our strategic partners at the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting,
\nTelecommunications and Information Technology, ACT (Antigua) Ltd. and HID Global.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

In moving towards modern systems, we recognize that there are often painful transitionary
\nperiods which occur, and we are mindful of the impact on the public. It is with this in mind
\nthat the ABCR, the Attorney General’s Office and Ministry of Legal Affairs, Public Safety
\nand Labour wish to inform members of the public that we are making every effort to move
\nthis transitionary process along as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

We remain committed to improving the efficiency of delivery of the Registry’s services.<\/p>

Additionally, we wish to further inform the public that this period of closure may be
\nextended, if needs be; therefore, we request that you pay attention to announcements
\ncoming from our office to indicate the status of upgrades and the date of resumption of full
\noperations.<\/p>\n

\nbehind the scenes to move our systems and processes forward.<\/p>
