Ten primary school students will benefit from the Kiwanis Club of St. John\u2019s Antigua annual Everett Lake Scholarship Fund this year.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

This needs-based programme will provide each beneficiary with $500.00 worth of school supplies.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

The scholarship is intended for children whose parents\/guardians are experiencing financial hardship and are unable to afford essential necessities for their children throughout the school year.<\/p>

Application forms may be obtained from Epicurean at Perry Bay, Cool and Smooth, Little Canton or call 720-7578.<\/p>

The Scholarship program which was inaugurated in 2017 was the highlight of the Club\u2019s 20th anniversary celebrations.<\/p>\n

Based on the feedback and the positive impact for the recipients, the Club has decided to make the event an annual one. \u00a0The deadline for submission of applications is August 11, 2021.<\/p>

At this time, the Everett Lake Scholarship is for primary school students, only. It is hoped that the scholarship programme will be expanded to Secondary School students depending on the availability of resources.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from fundraising projects inclusive of the club\u2019s annual High Tea at the Dockyard, go towards the Scholarship initiative alongside other Community Projects.<\/p>
