The Bolans playing field and adjacent courts form part of the heart and soul of sport and recreation in the Bolans community.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

In fact, it has and continues to serve as a proving ground for some of Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s greatest sportsmen and sportswomen.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Against this backdrop, I was delighted this morning to be part of an initial assessment to resolve some long standing challenges, particularly concerning drainage, ancillary facilities, the perimeter fence, and other health and safety issues.<\/p>

When this initial work is completed, the next phase of upgrades will include constructing modern and secure facilities to support training development for young, talented sportsmen and sportswomen in the community.<\/p>

<\/div>\n

Moreover, the upgrades will position Bolans to host national matches and tournaments and even serve as a practice venue for international teams.<\/p>\n

My vision for this area is for it to be an engine for the creation of opportunities for the people of the community and the wider constituency.<\/p>

Furthermore, it is also my desire for this to be a project of the community, by the community, and for the community.<\/p>\n
