(JJCI) is voluntarily recalling five NEUTROGENA\u00ae and AVEENO\u00ae aerosol sunscreen product lines to the consumer level. Internal testing identified low levels of benzene,\u00a0a chemical linked to blood cancers such as leukemia\u00a0in some samples of the products.<\/p><div id=\"antig-4231432430\" sunscreen versions:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Beach Defense aerosol sunscreen<\/li>\n<li>Cool Dry Sport aerosol sunscreen<\/li>\n<li>Invisible Daily Defense aerosol sunscreen<\/li>\n<li>Ultra Sheer aerosol sunscreen<\/li>\n<li>Aveeno Protect + Refresh aerosol sunscreen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The recalled sunscreen products are packaged in aerosol cans, and consumers should stop using these specific products\u00a0immediately.<\/p><div id=\"antig-656085808\" class=\"antig-content_4 though using the products \u201cwould not be expected to cause adverse health consequences,\u201d it voluntarily decided on the recall \u201cout of an abundance of caution.\u201d<\/p><div is highly flammable.\u00a0According to the\u00a0Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), long-term and repeated exposure to the chemical at high enough levels can cause leukemia\u00a0or other cancers.\u00a0\u00a0The carcinogen\u2019s effects vary depending on whether it is ingested, inhaled, or gets on a person\u2019s skin.
