The two had been the power voices behind the United Progressive Party re-election bid, but once the UPP lost, their\u00a0decade-long\u00a0hosting of carnival’s biggest competition would come to an end.<\/p>\n

Greene said then that behaviour on the campaign trail fell below the standards of national festivals.<\/p>

He also said their deportment and conduct left much to be desired and even pointed to defamation cases that they allegedly had before the courts.<\/p>

Three and a half years later, Ibis and Chet appeared to have buried the hatchet. The TV personality appeared on an ABLP platform in Bolans.<\/p>\n

Wearing red, Ibis said Greene was “his good friend” and Greene embracing Freeland, welcomed him “back to the fold of labour.”<\/p>
