St. Mary’s North candidate for the Antigua Barbuda Labour Party, Molwyn Joseph is blaming former Health Minister Wilmoth Daniel, for what he said could have been avoidable deaths at the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre.<\/p>

Daniel served as health minister for the latter years of the United Progressive Party administration before they were removed from office in 2014.<\/p>\n

Joseph who succeeded Daniel as the minister, told a campaign stop Bolans last night that\u00a0“when I went into that\u00a0ministry, the people who worked for Wilmoth Daniel told me when he came which was quite infrequent, he never stopped in his office beyond 12 O’ clock.”<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

“The way they ran down the ministry\u00a0of health, I can say without contradiction, his neglect resulted in unnecessary\u00a0deaths of Antiguans and Barbudans,” Joseph a senior government minister said.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

He told supporters that a number of life-saving\u00a0and other critical pieces of machines weren’t working.<\/p>\n

“They had no machine in the whole hospital that worked no MIR no CAT scan. And Wilmoth Daniel was parading himself all across Antigua and Barbuda, in his big car with all kind of people on Kentish Road.”<\/p>

Daniel is the deputy leader of the UPP who wants to replace Prime Minister Gaston Browne as Member of Parliament of St. John’s City West.<\/p>\n
