The management\u00a0of ABS says its doors are open to all political parties for election coverage and advertising.<\/p>

General Manager Erna-Mae Braithwaite responded to a press release of the main opposition United Progressive Party (UPP) demanding equal access to the state broadcaster.<\/p>\n

She said the company had already been in touch with the UPP before it released its statement.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

“Mr Lovell did not respond at all,” she said.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Braithwaite said ABS responded\u00a0positively to a letter it received from the chairman of the UPP requesting coverage for upcoming activities.<\/p>\n

“I consider it disingenuous,” she said making reference to the UPP release.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

“We reached out to the parties on the very day that the writ was issued,” she added.<\/p>\n

In its release, the UPP demanded not only fair access but proof that of payment by all political parties procuring services at the State-owned ABS Radio and Television during the 2018 election campaign.<\/p>
