A 66-year-old Barbadian woman with comorbidities is the 46th person to have died from COVID-19. She passed away on Tuesday, May 11.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

There were also seven new positive cases (six males and one female) recorded on Tuesday. They were identified from among the 758 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Nine people recovered from the viral illness and were discharged, while 107 persons remain in isolation.<\/p>

Confirmed COVID-19 cases recorded since March 2020 have reached 3,957 (1,911 females and 2,046 males), and there have been 3,879 recoveries.<\/p>

The public health laboratory has carried out 160,664 tests from February last year.
\nUnder the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 75,644 people have been vaccinated (first and second doses).<\/p>\n

Of these, 36,598 persons have been fully immunised during the second phase of the programme.<\/p>
