Ambassador to International Renewable Energy Agency, Conrod Hunte made a donation of medical safety supplies to Her Majesty\u2019s Prison 1735 on Monday.<\/p>

Ambassador Hunte, who is an Antiguan living abroad, is apart a nonprofit organization PurelyCO, which teamed up with The AFYA Foundation in New York, to make the donation possible.<\/p>

The contribution from the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) included masks, gloves, face shields and medical gowns.<\/p>\n

Hunte paid a courtesy visit to the Attorney General the Hon. Steadoy Cutie Benjamin, who thanked him for the timely donation. Minister Benjamin, encouraged the ambassador to continue to seek was to further assist the country as, the world and nation continue to mitigate the effects of COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Superintendent of Her Majesty\u2019s Prison 1735 Jermaine Anthony accepted the donation on behalf of the correctional facility. He added, \u201cthe donation of these PPE equipment is needed as we use a lot of mask daily between the inmates and the staff.\u201d<\/p>

Anthony also made an appeal for the donation of more masks to the Prison, which will be greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Conrod Hunte says his organization will continue to make further donations to various institutions around the island.<\/p>\n
