Public Safety Minister Steadroy “Cutie” Benjamin has said that an example needs to be made of the police officers under whose supervision an alleged serial killer escaped.<\/p>

Benjamin spoke on Pointe FM on Tuesday, after he received a\u00a0report into the matter, which is also part of an investigation by the Professional Standards Unit of the police force.<\/p>\n

The minister said the investigation “must be taken seriously to\u00a0set an example to others that when they perform their duty, it must be done in a manner that is professional and beyond the public scrutiny.”<\/p>

Delano Forbes has been on the run for over a week now since escaping police custody. Even though he was shackled, Forbes managed to escape the custody of five police officers.<\/p>

A reward of five thousand dollars has been offered for people who have information leading to his arrest.<\/p>\n

Police charged Forbes with three murders, alleging that he drank his victim’s blood after killing them.<\/p>
