Over the years residents have suffered tremendously due to the overflow of water, resulting from torrential rainfall.<\/p>

The Enhanced Direct Access (EDA) project being undertaken by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda through the Environment Division and Ministry of Public Works along with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation according to the Minister Benjamin will ease the hardship associated with the flooding.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Representatives from the Environment Division have held discussions Benjamin and members of the community, about the preparatory works to include boring holes for geotechnical assessment, which commenced on Monday April 6th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

The $15 million Ec Enhanced Direct Access project (EDA) aims to reduce the impact of increased flooding in the Cashew Hill water way area. The project commenced in Belmont and will culminate in Bendal\u2019s.<\/p>

It is expected that property value of all the homes in the project area will be increased as a result of the EDA project which on completion, will be able to withstand storms without significant flooding.<\/p>\n
