The Antigua Barbuda Students Association in Jamaica stole the spotlight as activities commenced to celebrate the University of the West Indies 70th anniversary.<\/p>

The number of students studying at the Mona Campus at UWI has been steadily growing over the years.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

That growth was evident based on the number of students participating in the homecoming parade on Thursday.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

At that event, the Antigua and Barbuda flag was most prominent.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Thanks to the association those attending homecoming activities also got a taste of Antigua history, music, culture and cuisine.<\/p>\n

One Jamaican man had high praises for Antigua’s famous Seasoned Rice dish.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

“The season that I had from Antigua, trust me, it was the bomb. I never had anything like that for quite a while and it is commendable,” he said.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Apart from homecoming, the ABSA organizes activities throughout the year which helps showcase the twin island state and brings students together.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Approximately\u00a050 Antigua and Barbuda students are pursuing various degrees in Jamaica.<\/p>
