On Tuesday, 12 families from the Booby Alley area, including Claudia Morris and Gloria Gordon received keys to their temporary homes on Bay Street, Villa.<\/p>

The relocation of these families represents a major part of the Booby Alley redevelopment project which will see the structural and environmental revitalization of the Booby Alley area in the Point.<\/p>

The homes at Bay Street are said to be three-bedroom houses, approximately twelve hundred square feet in size, with a combination of reinforced concrete, cement base foam panels, metal trusses with angle iron, foam galvanize, metal doors, and windows.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

All homes are said to have electricity, water, and internet infrastructures in place.<\/p>\n

According to Prime Minister Gaston Browne:<\/p>

\u201cThis program that we are pursuing is a program of empowerment. Today, we are here to turn over the first 12 keys to occupants of these homes on Bay Street. We have another 10 properties close to completion. The whole idea is to relocate individuals temporarily and within two years, to have the reconstruction of the entire area (Booby Alley) to build modern homes.\u201d<\/p>\n
