Members of Parliament will be meeting in the Lower House, next week, to debate four new bills aimed at helping to regulate the construction industry in Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>

In the Thursday, February 22 sitting, the Architects Bill, the Surveyors Bill, the Engineers Bill, and the Contractors Bill are expected to be tabled. Government’s Chief of Staff, Lionel ‘Max’ Hurst said copies of the bills are being distributed to all 17 elected parliamentarians.<\/p>\n

He explained that professionals within the construction industry have been demanding that rules be outlined in law “that will regularize the nature of professionals\u2019 behaviours, not unlike the doctors, lawyers, nurses and others.”<\/p>
