The Ministry of Health and Wellness is reporting that Jamaica recorded 808 new cases of COVID-19 and three virus related deaths yesterday.<\/p>

This pushes the total confirmed cases of the virus since the outbreak in the island to 28,273, of which 12,934 are active and the death toll to 463.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

The ministry said the latest deaths include a 66-year-old female from St Elizabeth, a 62-year-old female from St Catherine and a 28-year-old female from Westmoreland, whose deaths were previously reported under investigation. Another death was also reported under investigation today.<\/p>

Meanwhile, the ministry said of the new cases reported, 434 are females and 337 are males with ages ranging from 14 days to 98 years.<\/p>

The parish which reported the highest number of cases today is Kingston and St Andrew with 216 cases, while St Catherine reported 142 new virus cases. The other cases were reported in St James (57), St Thomas (53), Trelawny (53), Manchester (47), St Ann (47), Hanover (44), Westmoreland (36), Clarendon (33), St Elizabeth (33), St Mary (26), and Portland (21).<\/p>\n

The ministry also reported 50 more recoveries, pushing the total recoveries to 14,645.<\/p>
