A staff member at state media recently tested positive for COVID-19, and another has gone into quarantine.<\/p>

Erna-Mae Brathwaite, the General Manager at ABS Television\/Radio, told staff members that the station received confirmation of the positive result on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

According to Brathwaite, \u201cThe individual has been out of office for the past 12 days – prior to the deep sanitizing of the building.\u201d<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cBased on the guidelines of Health Officials, by whom we are guided, there is no immediate risk to staff,\u201d the general manager advised in a memo.<\/p>

 <\/p>\n

Brathwaite also revealed that \u201cone more staff member has been asked to quarantine due to a possible exposure to someone with Covid-19.\u201d<\/p>\n

In relation to the second case, she said, \u201cWe have not yet made contact with Health officials however, out of an abundance of caution, first line of contact staff will be asked to remain at home until we are advised further.\u201d<\/p>
