The management of Observer Media Group announced\u00a0today that embattled supervisor Martina Johnson is leaving the company.<\/p>

It is not certain whether Johnson, a native of Guyana, was relieved of her duties or resigned.<\/p>\n

Her last day will be in March and Johnson told staff she will be moving back to her homeland to take care of family matters.<\/p>

She was appointed newsroom manager in August 2017 after the News Director and Deputy left the country for education purposes that same year.<\/p>

Last year, staff wrote jointly to management complaining about Johnson’s management style, among other concerns.<\/p>

However, management took her side accusing\u00a0her subordinates of an ambush.<\/p>\n
