There are three stages to this pilot funding: the <strong>first stage<\/strong> is for first responders, the <strong>second stage<\/strong> is for persons living close to waterways in Mckinnon\u2019s watershed area, and the <strong>third stage is<\/strong> for persons living next to the waterway within the Cashew hill watershed.\u00a0 This Call for Applications is in the second stage of the pilot project, and will facilitate EC $8 million in loan funding.<\/p><div id=\"antig-2595206382\" class=\"antig-content antig-entity-placement\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ReggaeInTheParkAntigua\" aria-label=\"lucanio\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mlavawteztbj.i.optimole.com\/w:864\/h:1080\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/antiguanewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/lucanio.jpeg\" alt=\"\"  srcset=\"https:\/\/mlavawteztbj.i.optimole.com\/w:864\/h:1080\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/antiguanewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/lucanio.jpeg 1080w, https:\/\/mlavawteztbj.i.optimole.com\/w:240\/h:300\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/antiguanewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/lucanio.jpeg 240w, https:\/\/mlavawteztbj.i.optimole.com\/w:819\/h:1024\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/antiguanewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/lucanio.jpeg 819w, https:\/\/mlavawteztbj.i.optimole.com\/w:768\/h:960\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/antiguanewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/lucanio.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1350\"   \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>On successful completion of this pilot phase, it is expected that additional funding will be made available for the rest of Antigua and Barbuda individual homes and business properties to be made more secure from the impacts of climate change.\u00a0 The Revolving Fund Programme for Adaptation Loans for the McKinnons Watershed Area is being supported by the Adaptation Fund Project, \u201cAn integrated approach to physical adaptation and community resilience in Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s northwest McKinnon\u2019s watershed\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>To apply for the Revolving Fund Programme or for more information, interested individuals can visit the Department of Environment office at #1 Victoria Park, Botanical Gardens, or contact us at 464-5030 or 464-5031 (including WhatsApp messages).
