(Trumpet) Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh earlier this week granted a removal order for two visitors to the island who were recently convicted of breaking and entering.<\/p>

Konstantin\u00a0Fokin\u00a0from Romania and\u00a0Predor\u00a0Iosif\u00a0from Estonia\u00a0were seen on video breaking into\u00a0the EKO\u00a0Cozy\u00a0guest house in Ottos\u00a0on September 11.<\/p>\n

They were seen\u00a0moving back and forth between their room and the office. The daytime manager of the guest house was\u00a0contacted,\u00a0and the matter was reported to the police.<\/p>

According the men\u2019s lawyer, Arthur Thomas Jnr, 32-year-old\u00a0Fokin\u00a0and 20-year-old\u00a0Iosif\u00a0broke into the\u00a0office\u00a0in an attempt to\u00a0retrieve their passports.<\/p>

Thomas said that the men became anxious and were \u201cdriven by desperation\u201d when their passports were\u00a0taken from them since they are foreigners.<\/p>\n

Having already spent 3 months on remand, they were sentenced to time served on Friday.<\/p>

They have now been remanded into the custody of the Immigration department and will be removed from the country this weekend.<\/p>\n
